RESEARCH-what is genre?

Genre means the ' type' or ' class' the film is in. It is important for two groups which are the ' consumers and  producers'. This is because consumers make choices about the media texts and producers create a media text for a specific audience.It is very important for producers to understand the codes and conventions and include them while creating.

When it comes for me to decide which genre is the best. I personally would go for comedy, horror. This is because with ' Horror' you can add so many sound effects, music. For example; heart beat, which builds tension while watching the movie. On the other hand, i love comedy because not every comedy movie is the same theres always something else to laugh about, which is the main reason i like comedy. Even in the earlier stages comedy was still a favourite genre type for people.
