Watchmens opening sequence is beautifully filmed through encapsulating five decades of history of New York's Superheros and telling a story along the way, this is achieved through the use of music by Bob Dylan, 'the times they are changing', referencing to previous events before the movie was set. This gives the audience some what of a nostalgic feeling and puts them in a time the movie took place which was the 80's. Furthermore the text that is used to present the casts names is bold and coloured in yellow maybe referring to boldness of the superheros and their bravery, therefore setting a tone and feeling for the audience as the title sequence progresses.
