RESEARCH: Favourite previous student work

I feel that the title sequence created by Anika, Hasan, Chifa, Neena and Neelam last year was particularly good as I feel that it shows a wide range of techniques as well as a variety of camera shots and angles. Straight from the beginning we are able to denote the tone of this opening sequence due to the yellow overtone (pictured below). For example the warm yellow colours create a sepia effect, clearly connoting that this is either a flashback or that the entire sequence is set in the past.

Moreover, the group are also able to create a great sense of continuity in their film opening through their use of match cuts as well as the 180 degree rule. This creates a more pleasant and enjoyable viewing experience which i feel contributed to the title sequence greatly.

Figures 2 and 3 - the above images show the successful use of the 180 degree rule.
Additionally, the group are also able to immerse the viewer through their use of sounds through out their title sequence. For example, the groups use of sound was able to make quiet streets sound busy to create a more intense effect. The groups ideas and planning are all also very clear as the group constantly updated their media blog with relevant information as well as updates which showed us what they were working on. (see below)

To conclude, "Group 6's" title sequence was my favourite previous student work due to the various skills used throughout creating a seamless and professional seeming opening sequence. Moreover, I feel that the groups constant blogging, extensive planning, as well as their devotion to the project is what aided them in creating this piece and why it is my favourite.
